About
A pair of ash & beech wheelback Windsor armchairs with cabriole leg. Backs and legs made of beech and the seats made of ash. The front legs are of cabriole design, back legs turned, supported with a crinoline stretcher. Original label under the seat ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’, each marked AP to the backside. In very good and stable condition and have been waxed.
These were a model made by the High Wycombe company ‘The Thomas Glenister Company’ – example can be found in ‘Windsor Chairs’ by Michael Harding-Hill page 140.
