About
Gunnar Ander Flower Candleholders, made of brass with purple glass floral sconce. Larger size than usual, from a limited early edition, to be noticed the oval base and the everted rim of the sconce, that didn’t show anymore in the more numerous series edited by Ystad Metall, with round base and straight scone.
Very good used condition, beautiful patina to the brass, traces of stearin.

Gunnar Ander, born 1908, died 1976, was a Swedish designer. He worked in glass as well as forging, brass, nickel silver and wood.
He designed glass objects at Lindshammar’s glass factory until his death. He was also a long-term employee at Ystad-Metall, where he designed utility and art objects in forged, brass, nickel silver and more. He was also one of the leading designers at Scandia Present AB.
