Jean Despres Candle holders, Mid-Century Modern, France, circa 1960s.
Pair of silver plated metal candlesticks designed by Jean Despres. Round hammered base with a cylindrical stem, bottom decorated with a thick chain gourmet, three hammered sockets on a flat rectangular base, each supported by a chain ring. Incised signatures under the bottom, stamped maker’s marks to the edge of the base. Very good overall condition, with normal signs of wear and time, cleaned and polished.
Dimensions: Height 19.5 cm (7-3/4in.), length 24.5 cm (9-2/3in.)
