About
Margareta Hennix Ceramic Candleholders or Vases.
Pair of Post-modern Ceramic Candleholders, Vases, Margareta Hennix, Sweden 1989.
A rare find, made in the very short time when Margareta worked for Guldskroken Hjö – 1989-1990, these vivid candle holders can be used as well as vases. The top part can be removed to keep flowers, or can be used as a double candle holder suitable for 22 mm candles.
The top, glazed in Sulfur yellow color, is in a perfect contrast with the black stems. One of them is straight, resting on a stepped round base, the other one is wavy shaped on a straight round base.
Both signed by the artist under the bottom, all components with original manufacturer’s labels.
In excellent condition.
Margareta Hennix trained in the department of ceramics and glass at Konstfack in Stockholm 1959–63, with, among others, Stig Lindberg as a teacher.
