About
Schneider Art Deco Vase “Jade” or “Peacock”.
A hard to find vase from the Schneider brand, which used 32 shades variations, more expensive and more exclusive, than Le Verre Francais, which used only 17 shades. Multi layered glass vase paunchy body, hemmed neck and bulbous curved base. White, orange and pink powdered glass with yellow and violet powder inclusions in a floral theme. Sandblasted signature SCHNEIDER on foot.
Dimensions: H 32 cm (12-1/4 in.)
Charles Schneider started to design vases by himself after 1920. He developed a very personal genre, characterized by bright, powerful, contrasting colors and naturalistic and stylized motifs, perfectly symbolizing the Art Deco style of the interwar period. The company produces under two brands, Le Verre français and the Schneider line. The first is more accessible with 17 variations of shades against 32 at Schneider.
