Kjell Engman:
“In creating a design, I start with the circle of life. I like to make glass you can feel, glass that appeals to all of our senses and tries to make use of refraction and light. I want to paint pictures and tell stories all at the same time. What drives me, is a sort of inner search, in which curiosity, the mysterious and mythology are all important ingredients. Glass, the living solid, is my constant companion.”

Nordic glass dates back at least to the 1700’s, and it is well known for its high quality and its elegant design.
Scandinavia consists of four countries to the North West of Europe, namely Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Scandinavian Glass was not widely known until the 1920’s, when glass designers, especially in Sweden started a movement to bring high design standards to mass-produced glassware.
