Important chryselephantine, bronze proof with golden-brown patina and cold painted. Face and arms in ivory. Old casting edition without foundry mark or stamp. Onyx base.
Signed on base. Period: circa 1920.

Dimensions: Height: 60,5cm

Affortunato GORY (actif 1895-1925). The artist was born in Florence, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Augustus Rivalta. At the beginning of the century, he emigrated to Paris very young, and changed the name of Fortunato Gori, Affortunato Gory. He began to exhibit at the Salon of French Artists in 1902.
