The artist firstly exhibited them in Gothenburg in 1969, under the name “20 Sisters of Benedicte Bergmann” In 1986 she showed a collection of about 40 sisters at the Röhsska Handicraft Museum in Gothenburg under the heading HESPERIDES by Benedicte Bergmann.

Three hand-carved wooden dolls by the Swedish artist Benedicte Bergmann. Part of the hand carved wooden dolls “Mythological Sisters”, started by the artist in 1969. The artist firstly exhibited them in Gothenburg in 1969, under the name “20 Sisters of Benedicte Bergmann” In 1986 she showed a collection of about 40 sisters at the Röhsska Handicraft Museum in Gothenburg under the heading HESPERIDES by Benedicte Bergmann. The Hesperides were the nymphs of the evening in the ancient Greek mythology. In excellent condition, accordingly to their age, one of them with a paint scuffing to the backside. Each wearing its name under the bottom.
