Art Deco Figure Enigma – Guiraud Riviere
Maurice Guiraud-Riviere, “L’Enigme.” A silvered patinated bronze figure of a seated woman, France, circa 1925. Incised signature on the terasse “M. GUIRAUD-RIVIERE” and “LNJL” foundry mark on the backside.
Dimensions: Height 36.8 cm (14.49 in.)Width 40.8 cm (16.06 in.) Depth 30.5 cm (12.01 in.)
Condition: Very good ( consistent with age and use)
Exhibited at the International Exhibition of 1925, illustrated in Victor Arwas Art Deco sculptures, page 40.
