Ake Holm Ceramic Urn with Lid, own studio Höganäs, Sweden 1920s.
Front decorated with a winged figure playing a trumpet, the other side decorated with a flower.
The lid has a ball shaped knob. Marked on the bottom ‘Holm Hoganas’.
In very good original condition, minimal wear, no crack or chips.
Dimensions: Width 25 cm, Depth 22 cm, Height 36 cm

Åke Holm (1900–1980) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century, well known for his ceramic objects often inspired by the bible.
After his education and early work years at the Höganäs factory, he started his own studio in the area.
